Come and join us in celebrating the 50th Annual Ukulele Festival Hawaii by learning this year’s
theme song “I Am What I Am”. Although we can’t see each other this year, here’s
how we can celebrate together with everyone near and far.
1. LEARN! PLAY! SING ALONG!
We are launching a global effort to have everyone learn “I Am What I Am” so you
play and sing along
when the TV special airs on
Sunday, July 19 at 6 p.m. HST
on KHNL (NBC) and livestreamed on
and Hawaii News Now’s Facebook.
2. SUBMIT YOUR OWN VIDEO
Submit a video of yourself playing this year’s theme song
“I Am What I Am”
for a chance to be included in the TV special. No professional videos necessary. Be creative
and film yourself and/or with friends and family in your yard, at the playground, at the
beach, on a hike, in front of a landmark, with pets, in ethnic attire, etc. There is no limit
on creativity! We look forward to your video proudly showcasing people from all backgrounds
bringing laughter, love and hope to the world through the music of the ukulele.
