EXCITING NEWS!

Roy and Kathy Sakuma, founders of Ukulele Festival Hawaii welcomes Craig Chee and Sarah Maisel

We are very excited to announce that Craig Chee and Sarah Maisel will be organizing the Ukulele Festival here on Oahu at the Queen Kapiolani Park – home of Ukulele Festival Hawaii.

It was a dream over 50 years ago to put on a free ukulele festival to show the world the joy and virtuosity of this tiny little instrument from the state of Hawaii.

For 50 years, Roy & Kathy Sakuma and their staff of volunteers and supporters have spread the joy of the ukulele, teaching students, organizing and promoting Hawaii’s Ukulele Festival, the first and original ukulele festival. It’s a dream come true that this year’s 50th Golden Anniversary was celebrated with millions of people throughout the world playing and enjoying ukulele.

Thank you Craig Chee and Sarah Maisel for continuing the legacy and essence of bringing laughter, love and hope to all the children and adults of Hawaii and the world.

Mahalo to all for your support over the past 50 years. Aloha.
